Frequently Asked Questions

What is a webinar?

A webinar is an opportunity for you to attend a live conference which you can access through your computer or telephone. If you access the webinar through your computer you will be able to follow the Powerpoint presentation from the webinar whilst you listen to the presentation. You can choose to listen through your computer speakers, headphones or by telephone. You will also be able to click on your screen to raise your hand and ask questions during the presentation. If you do wish to ask questions or speak on the webinar it is essential you have a good microphone, or headset and microphone preferably. You may also call in by telephone on one of the supplied numbers to ask questions during the webinar. (If you are not at your computer you can call in from the telephone and can listen to the call, but you won't be able to follow the presentation on the screen, raise your hand or speak without access to the webinar screen and control panel on your computer.)

How do I take part?

On the first week that you attend you will receive an invitation to the webinar. Invitations are sent for each webinar and are usually sent Sunday night, and no later than Monday afternoon. You will need to select the appropriate link in the email, and fill in the registration/acceptance page with your details, an invitation with link will be sent to the email address you supply here. You will need to accept the invitation to confirm your attendance. If you are attending via your computer, you will need to download the webinar programme, so please ensure you arrive on the call at least 10-15 minutes early the first time you attend. Practice webinar sessions are available, if required please do contact us. Though it is recommended that you study the tutorial files beforehand as these do explain how it all works.

What are the system requirements for the webinar?

If you join the webinar through your PC, you will not have to pay any extra costs to participate live in webinars.

System Requirements
PC-based attendees
Required: Windows® 7, Vista, XP, 2003 Server or 2000
Minimum of Pentium class 1GHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM (recommended) (2 GB of RAM for Windows® Vista)

Macintosh®-based attendees
Required: Mac OS® X 10.4.11 (Tiger®) or newer.

Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection

If you can normally listen to music or other audio on your system you will be able to hear the webinars on your computer. However, if you wish to speak on the call you must have some form of microphone connected to or integrated in your computer. It is recommended that you use a combinded headset and microphone for the best quality. If you are relying on an integral microphone in your computer, the quality of the sound may not be enough for you to be easily heard, and these microphones do tend to pick up and magnify background noise.

Media Format
The recordings of the webinars will be made available in Windows Media Format (.wmv). This is a relatively common video format and most computers should experience no issues playing these files if they are are using recent versions of media software. Apple Mac users may need to download a free plugin from apple to enable them to view these recordings. Recordings are not particularly suited to mobile media players as the text explanatary text displayed on video element will not be legible at such a reduced size. For this reason we do not provide a format suitable for ipods.

MP3
MP3's are a popular audio format that wil play on almost all media players. We are supplying these in addition to the video format mentioned above as many have requested the ability to listen again to the webinars. Whilst it may be possible to experience the webinar from the pdf and the mp3, it is recommended that you view the video format first.

Internet Connection
You will need to be able to access a good internet connection to fully participate in the webinars and forum. You will need to be able to access emails and respond to them, as well as be able to follow links to register for the webinar and to download the recordings and accompanying notes from the forum.
If you have relatively slow internet such as dial-up or satellite you may experience problems with the live webinar and you would be recommended to use the option of 'phoning in as well if you also wish to speak on the webinar. You may also find downloading the recordings may take a while due to their size.

If you call in from a telephone to participate, you will pay the rate of a long-distance call. For international callers we can possibly provide you with a number for your own country, if you do not see your country listed here, please ask, we may be able to add it.
Example Numbers & Area Codes
Australia: 61 (0) 2 8014 ****
Canada: 1778-783-****
United Kingdom: 44 (0) 203 318 ****
United States: 1 516 453 ****
Call rates can vary.
You will also still need to register for each webinar online, and if you wish to speak on any webinar you will require the PIN code provided online.

The webinars will be available for you to download from the private members site. They will be available for approximately 10days at least after the recording. You may also download a PDF of the slides from the webinar, suitable for printing out, though in the interests of the environment please consider if printing is necessary before doing so. What if something triggers me emotionally when I am listening to the webinar programme?

You will need to take full responsibility for your own emotional health whilst taking part in the webinar programme. We will not be able to work with you individually on any issue that is triggered whilst you are taking part in the webinar. If you get triggered emotionally whilst listening to the webinar, it is recommended you do one of two things. Either work through the issue yourself or contact a qualified Matrix Reimprinting practitioner to work through the issue (a list of recommended practitioners will be provided, and practitioners will be available at their individual rates of charge).

Are there any additional costs involved in the course?

If you choose to listen live through your computer, there won't be any additional costs. If you choose to call in by telephone the call will be the price of a long distance call, providing there is a number for the country that you reside in (the webinar programme gives us the option to give numbers for a whole host of countries). If there is no number for your country and you decide to call in by telephone it will be the price of an International call (which is often cheaper if you call in through Skype).

It is also recommended that you use a headset & microphone if you wish to speak on the call or be a subject for a demonstration. Not only does such a system improve the quality of the call for all, it allows you freedom to tap and a greater comfort level whilst listening. Such equipment is relatively inexpensive and will prove very useful not just for the duration of the webinars, but for your own use in the future.

You will need to email us within 48 hours of your first scheduled call to initiate a refund. Any costs you incurred if you called in live from a telephone will not be refunded.
